Describing symptoms by phone
When you call, tell us the age of the house if you know it and what the door is doing - won't open, opens then stops, makes a bang before it quits.
Get in touch

That's more useful to us than a brand name, since most of what fails has nothing to do with who made the opener. We don't run a 24-hour dispatch line and we're not going to pretend otherwise.
Call during the day and we'll get you on the schedule or tell you honestly if it's a same-day job or not. If a spring lets go on a Saturday night and the car's trapped inside, we'd rather tell you that now than have you find out later.
Our limits
We won't tell you a cable snapped because the opener is bad, and we won't replace a whole door when the fix is a bent track or a worn roller.
If a torsion spring is undersized for the door it's been carrying, we'll say so instead of just swapping in a match for what was there. We don't do new-construction installs for builders, and we don't source doors outside what we can get through normal supply - if you want an exact match to a 1995-era panel that's no longer made, we'll tell you that up front rather than string you along on a part that isn't coming.
We also won't guess at a diagnosis over the phone and charge you for the guess. If the job needs a look in person, that's what it needs.
This is a limitation worth saying plainly: some older doors, especially the steel and wood panel doors common in houses built before the 1980s boom here, use hardware sized differently than what's stocked today. On those, repair sometimes costs more in parts lead time than a straight replacement does, and we'll tell you when that's the math.
Our services
Most of the houses we get called to went up somewhere between the mid-1970s and the late 2010s, with a lot of that stock dating to the 1980s and 90s across the named areas around Killeen. That spread means we see a real mix: original torsion springs on 1980s builds that have simply worn out, openers from the 90s with worn gears, and newer doors with insulated panels that just need a sensor realigned or a cable re-seated.
Winters here don't bring hard freeze for long stretches, but the mild-with-some-freeze pattern still means metal contracts and expands enough over the years to loosen hardware and throw off balance on older springs - that's a slow failure, not a storm event, and it's most of what we find.
We handle broken springs, cable replacement, roller and track repair, opener repair and replacement, panel and section replacement, and balance and alignment work. We work on both torsion and extension spring setups, since both show up depending on when and where the house was built. If your garage door is doing something odd and you're not sure what to call it, that's still a reason to call - describing the sound is enough to start.
Questions
Yes. We take calls from Harker Heights, Nolanville, Copperas Cove, Fort Hood, Kempner, Belton, Salado, Florence, Morgan's Point Resort, Briggs, and Jarrell, all within about 20 miles of our shop on E Ave C.
Usually, but not always. Houses here mostly date from the mid-1970s onward, with a lot built in the 1980s and 90s. Hardware from that era is often still available; some older or discontinued panel styles take longer to source, and we'll tell you if that's the case before you commit to a repair.
We take on panel and section replacement and full door replacement when a repair doesn't make sense, but we don't do new-construction installs for builders. If your current door is beyond a reasonable repair, we'll say so and talk through replacement options.
It plays a role but it's not dramatic. The area sees mild winters with some freeze, which over years can loosen hardware and throw springs out of balance. Most of what we see is gradual wear rather than damage from a single weather event.
